Domaine Evenstad has celebrated the official launch of its first vintage with three events. Gathered on 21st and 22nd November in Santenay, and the 25th November in Paris, historical distributors, partners, club members, sommeliers and journalists had the privilege of discovering the 2022 vintage, which promises to be a reference among the great wines of Burgundy.
Three days devoted to excellence
Celebrations began at the heart of the Domaine Evenstad, in Santenay, on the 21st and 22nd November. The first day was dedicated to historical distributors, whilst the second day focused on the Estate’s partners and club members.
Lastly, on 25th November, in the luxurious setting of gastronomic restaurant Ducasse Bacara, in Paris, sommeliers and journalists were invited to taste this inaugural vintage.
These three events allowed Domaine Evenstad to thank its key partners whilst unveiling the fruits of their first harvest.
An exceptional 2022 vintage
The 2022 vintage will be remembered as an exceptional year for the Domaine Evenstad, with ideal climatic conditions for producing a wine of great quality.
After a mild and dry winter, the vines experienced an early growing cycle, spared from frost. A warm spring and sunny summer, as well as convenient spells of rain in June and August, allowed ideal ripening of the grapes. These conditions have led to balanced wines, characterized by their aromatic richness and remarkable structure.
The tannic structure of these red wines, precise and silky, is complemented by a lingering freshness, making the 2022 vintage a true reference among exceptional Burgundian vintages.
The unveiling of iconic vintages
The guests were invited to taste a representative selection of wines from the Domaine Evenstad and other estates of the Evenstad family: Château de la Crée, Domaine Serene and Maison Evenstad.

Thus, the Chambolle-Musigny – Les Condemennes and the Chambolle-Musigny Premiers Crus were acclaimed for their finesse while the Nuits-Saint-Georges stood out for their great structure.
